Skylines Virtual Rules and Policies

By applying to join Skylines Virtual, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to follow these rules and the linked Skylines Virtual policies.

Membership and accounts

Applicants must provide accurate registration information and maintain only one Skylines Virtual pilot account. Account sharing, impersonation and deliberately providing false information are not permitted.

All Skylines Virtual members must have a valid VATSIM account and must link their correct VATSIM CID to their vAMSYS profile. Pilots are encouraged, but not required, to conduct every flight online.

Conduct

Members must behave respectfully towards other pilots, staff, controllers and community members.

Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, hate speech, deliberate disruption and abusive conduct are prohibited.

When flying on VATSIM using a Skylines callsign, members must comply with the VATSIM Code of Conduct, Code of Regulations and applicable network procedures.

Flights and PIREPs

Flight and PIREP information must be honest and accurate. Members must not manipulate flight records, submit deliberately false information or attempt to obtain hours, points, ranks or rewards dishonestly.

Software and network security

Any software required or recommended by Skylines Virtual must be properly licensed and used in accordance with its licence conditions.

Software and data-collection tools used by Skylines Virtual must not interfere with, disrupt, degrade or otherwise harm the VATSIM network or its services.

Skylines Virtual uses vAMSYS and Pegasus ACARS to manage and record flights.

Anti-piracy

The use, promotion, distribution or linking of pirated software, flight-simulation add-ons or other unlawfully distributed copyrighted material is prohibited.

Deliberate piracy may result in immediate removal from Skylines Virtual and may be reported to VATSIM where required.

Privacy and data processing

By applying to join Skylines Virtual, you confirm that you have read the Skylines Virtual Privacy Policy and understand that membership and flight data will be processed by Skylines Virtual and vAMSYS for the operation of the virtual airline.

Limited membership and flight information may be supplied privately to the VATSIM Virtual Airlines Department where required for an application, audit or compliance review.
