Iberia Virtual Rules and Procedures

To understand how our Virtual Airline (VA) works, we strongly recommend starting by reading our basic Pilot's Handbook. In it, you'll find valuable information to help you fly your first flights in Iberia Virtual successfully, including our operating rules and a basic procedures guide (click on the image to download).

At the same time, we encourage our pilots to read the operations manuals for the different aircraft in our fleet. These manuals outline many of our virtual airline's procedures, helping you fly with us in a realistic way.

The operations manuals are available at https://vamsys.io/phoenix/pages/documentation.

All submitted PIREPs must comply with the rules described in our pilot's guide and operations manuals. Failure to do so may result in points being deducted for minor infractions and even invalidation for major violations.

At Iberia Virtual our goal is to let pilots simulate Iberia’s operations in a way that is both enjoyable and realistic. We do not impose strict activity requirements or rigid rules that take the pleasure out of flight simulation, but flying for a virtual airline involves more than running a flight tracker. We expect our members to have a basic understanding of how real-world flights are planned and operated, and we do not generally recommend virtual airlines as a starting point for newcomers to the hobby.

This handbook sets out the rules and policies that give all our pilots a clear structure. Where we find serious rule violations, PIREPs may be declined or invalidated; our main focus, however, is always on offering support and constructive feedback. Pilots are encouraged to ask for help on our Discord server, where they will find a welcoming community. The invite link is on the vAMSYS dashboard.
