FOREWORD

This document serves to provide virtual pilots operating on behalf of Euroscot Virtual with operating information relating to Euroscot operations.

AMMENDMENTS

Amendments to this document can be made at any time in order to protect the Euroscot Virtual operation and Level 1 updates/Notice to Crew’s (information below), will be published to pilots via email and will be available for a minimum of 24 hours on the Crew Portal.

When registering as a member, all of our virtual pilots accept the terms of membership which stipulates that virtual pilots must abide by the Euroscot Virtual Ops Manual (EVOM). Failure to abide by the FVOM (this document), could result in suspension/termination of your membership.

This document when downloaded will always be named

“EUS.FVOM.LATEST.*DD**MM**YY**” to ensure virtual pilots are clearly informed which version of the EVOM is current. To reiterate - Amendments will be communicated as described above and a “Version History”, list will be available on the website to include previous versions, date changes and document titles in order to ensure transparency.

Editorial Privileges & Authenticity

Only Euroscot Virtual management have the authority to edit this document. Training Captains must speak to their base management in order to suggest changes to this document who will in turn communicate with the company management to discuss any proposals. This will then be reviewed at the next scheduled board meeting and the outcome of which will be communicated directly with the Training Captain concerned.

Transfer of Hours

Transfer of hours at present is not possible and will not be considered, regardless of experience.

Membership Management

The Euroscot Virtual management will always oversee the entire management of both operations and at any time reserve the right to intervene during any scenario, suspend and/or terminate membership.

Leave of Absence/Inactivity

If a virtual pilot finds themselves in difficulty which results in their account being de-activated. Please do contact us. We will always deal with every in-active account on a case-by-case basis. This means for example - exceptional circumstances to perhaps technical issues – the management’s decision is always final.

Community Immersion

Members of Euroscot Virtual are always encouraged to engage in our vibrant communities. Many lessons, laughs and long-lasting friendships are up for grabs! Via our Discord chat, AirMail and Forum.

We always want our virtual pilots to experience the “as close as it gets feeling”!  Whether that be via IVAO or VATSIM – That is up to the virtual pilot. However – Euroscot Virtual do require that as a virtual pilot you ensure your profile is up-to-date with IVAO/VATSIM account numbers for auditing/disciplinary reasons.

Time Zones/Acceleration

Euroscot Virtual is a Scottish based and as such will always operate normally like any UK carrier under Zulu/BST. No flight sim acceleration is accepted.

Flight Tracking

Maximum Duty Hours

Euroscot Virtual does not exercise any specific Flight Time Limitations (FTL’s), however we do kindly request virtual pilots to exercise common sense and to refrain from operating long sectors consecutively or more than 4 flight sectors in a period of 12 hours. The management reserve the right to refuse PIREP’s that are filed in excess or highlight concern regarding the virtual pilot’s ability to operate safely.

Company Cost Index(s)

Euroscot Cost Index(s) which all EUS virtual pilots must observe and utilise during any EUS operated flights.

Boeing 737-800 = 13 (If operating a delayed sector – up to CI50)

Airbus A320-200 = 7 (If operating a delayed sector – up to CI50)

Airline Scheduling

Euroscot is a low-cost virtual airline in which schedules are reviewed and adapted on a demand basis. As such, some of our schedules, should be operated seasonally only. In order to provide the maximum amount of flight opportunities to our virtual pilots we have unlocked all flights - all year round and made them available daily. A publication of the schedule which specifies flights down to their weekday of operation, time of year and even scheduled time of departure can be viewed here for those wishing to maximise realism.

Conduct

We strive to ensure all of our virtual pilots have a great experience with us. In order to protect our virtual pilots, we have a zero tolerance towards any offensive or derogatory comments. We also will not tolerate questionable behaviour and will always hold any perpetrators to account. This policy extends out with the confines of our website, forums, Discord server, AirMail and any interactive platform operated by ourselves to online flying communities such as VATSIM or IVAO. If VATSIM, IVAO or another community base contacts Euroscot Virtual regarding the conduct of a virtual pilot we will always take necessary action to hold the individual to account for bringing our virtual airline into disrepute.

In addition, we do not allow:

1.    Offensive language directed at staff or other members.

2.    Pornographic links or any adult rated material

3.    Any debates or remarks which may offend international or minority members regarding religious preferences, sexual orientation and preferences, gender, or local customs.

4.    References or links to illegal software.

5.    Posts that are considered as non-contributory to the general well-being and morale of the virtual airline.
